Straight answers about what Arvello does, what it doesn't do yet, and what it costs.
Arvello is accounting software for Estonian private limited companies (OÜ). It pulls in your bank transactions, sends your invoices, keeps the ledger and prepares the filings an OÜ owes the state: the monthly KMD and TSD and the annual report.
It does the double-entry bookkeeping in the background. You work with invoices, expenses and payments, not debits and credits.
Owners of small Estonian OÜs who would rather do their own books than pay a bookkeeper for routine work: freelancers and consultants, developers and designers, small agencies and online sellers.
It fits best if you are the director, you pay yourself through board fees, salary or dividends, and you have no staff or a small team.
A few situations Arvello doesn't cover yet:
Sole proprietors (FIE), AS companies and non-profits. Arvello is built around the OÜ.
Medium-sized and larger companies. Annual reports are prepared for micro and small companies only.
Bank accounts in other currencies. You can invoice in foreign currencies, but the books and bank accounts are kept in euros.
Paying people who aren't Estonian tax residents. Their rows in TSD Annex 2 have to be added by hand in e-MTA.
No. You record what happened in plain terms (an invoice sent, a receipt for a laptop, a payment received) and Arvello posts the journal entries to a chart of accounts set up for an Estonian OÜ.
The Help Centre also explains the Estonian terms and deadlines you'll come across.

If your company has unusual transactions, foreign subsidiaries, or you'd simply like a professional to check your work, invite your accountant into Arvello (on the Growth or Business plan). They see the same books you do, so they spend their time reviewing rather than re-entering.
Arvello is opening in early access. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your place is ready.
Enter your registry code and Arvello imports your company details, board members, shareholders and filed annual reports from the Business Register.
Your opening balances are taken from the last annual report you filed, and you confirm them. If there's no filed report to use, for example for a new company, you enter them yourself. Bank history from before you connected can be imported from CSV statements, and Arvello flags any gaps it finds.
There is no direct import from other accounting software yet.
Read more in the Help CentreDuring setup you tell Arvello from which month it takes over your KMD and TSD. Earlier periods are marked as filed outside Arvello and can't be submitted from it, so nothing gets filed twice.
For the annual report you choose whether Arvello prepares the current financial year or picks up from the next one.

Each person takes a team seat. Solo has one seat, which is you; Growth has three and Business ten.

Transactions sync automatically several times a day. Your bank asks you to renew the connection every 180 days.
Read more in the Help CentreYes. You log in at your own bank with Smart-ID, Mobile-ID or the bank's app, and your internet bank credentials never reach Arvello. The connection is read-only: Arvello can see balances and transactions but can't make payments.
The connection is carried by Enable Banking, a regulated account information service provider.

For any other bank you match the columns once and Arvello remembers the layout. Transactions already imported are skipped, so overlapping statements are safe. One exception: in a hand-mapped file without transaction IDs, two genuinely identical payments (same day, amount, description and payer) look like one, and the Help Centre explains how to keep both.
Read more in the Help CentreEvery company gets its own receipts email address. Forward a receipt email to it, with the receipt attached as a PDF or image or linked from an online receipt page such as Stripe's, and Arvello saves the document, reads the amount, date and merchant from the email, and attaches it to the matching bank transaction. Anything it can't match waits for you to review. An email with no receipt attached or linked is skipped, and Arvello tells you.
You can also upload files directly to an expense.

Solo and Growth include a monthly e-invoice allowance, counting sent and received together; Business is unlimited. Once it's used up, you can still send invoices as PDFs by email until the next month or a plan upgrade.

Your books and bank accounts stay in euros. Only euro bank accounts connect. Bank transactions in other currencies are kept but left out of the books for now.

Each return is built from your books as you go, so at the deadline you review it rather than start it. The tax overview shows what's due and when.
Read more in the Help CentreToday you upload them yourself. Arvello prepares the KMD as an XML file and the TSD's main annex as a CSV file. If you sold to businesses in other EU countries, there's also a VD (EC Sales List) CSV. In e-MTA you upload the files, check the totals and submit. If you paid dividends, you enter them on TSD Annex 7 by hand, using the CSV Arvello gives you as a reference.
Direct submission from Arvello to the Tax and Customs Board is being switched on during early access. Then you review the return in Arvello and submit it with one click. The VD is still uploaded separately in e-MTA.
Read more in the Help CentreFor direct submission you grant Arvello's operating company, Namasgo OÜ (registry code 16747054), three machine-to-machine permissions in e-MTA. It's a one-off step of about two minutes, and Arvello walks you through it.
The permissions are visible in e-MTA and you can revoke them at any time. Without them, you can still download every return and upload it yourself.
Read more in the Help CentreNo. Arvello works for companies that aren't VAT-registered: your sales are invoiced without VAT and no KMD is created. Arvello keeps a running estimate of your turnover against the registration threshold, so you can see the moment you're getting close.
Once your company is registered, add the registration date in settings. Each document then gets the right VAT treatment for its date.

You download the balance sheet and income statement as an XBRL file and upload it in the Business Register portal. The notes and management report aren't in that file yet, so you add them at the portal before you sign.
Read more in the Help CentreAs the company's director, you are, just as you would be with any software or bookkeeper. All of them include invoicing, expenses, VAT, TSD and annual reports.
