Annual reports & year-end
Every Estonian company files an annual report in XBRL with the Business Register within six months of year end — Arvello prepares it from your books.
Every Estonian company files an annual report — the majandusaasta aruanne — with the äriregister (Business Register), even if it did no business at all. The report is due within six months of your financial year end; for companies on a calendar year, that means 30 June. It bundles your balance sheet, income statement, and supporting notes into XBRL — the structured format the Business Register requires.
Arvello assembles the report from the books you already keep, so most of the work is bookkeeping you have (ideally) been doing all year. The pages in this section walk the whole journey, from tidying the ledger to filing and locking the year.
Your annual reports at a glance
Open Reports → Annual Reports in the sidebar and you'll find a card for each financial year, each with a status badge — from Draft through In Review and Generated to Submitted and Locked — so it's always clear where a year stands. A green tick marks years that are filed and locked.
The years are your stored financial years from Company settings, with their real dates: a first year of up to 18 months, or a transition year after a change of financial year, shows as one card covering its whole period. A report's period is always one of those years, and once its report is filed or the year is locked, the year's dates never change.
Reports filed before you joined Arvello can appear here too, labelled Imported from Register, if you brought your history in during onboarding. They anchor your opening balances and let Arvello cross-check that a new report's prior-year figures match what was actually filed. See Import your financial history.
The journey in three steps
- Close the year. Reconcile the bank, run depreciation, record dividends — make the books reflect reality. The year-end checklist covers it.
- Prepare the report. One click assembles the balance sheet, income statement, notes, and a draft management report for your review — see Preparing the annual report.
- Submit it. Download the XBRL file, file it at the e-Business Register portal, then lock the year — see Submitting to the Business Register.
